Father’s Day. 2024

Jun 16,

We had a chill father's day, with 2 home cooked meals. Chilaquiles for lunch, and dinner with grandma and grandpa. The weather was sunny and beautiful, perfect for Lionel's soccer game and my morning run. And it stayed sunny and nice the entire day. I wish we had many more days like this.

Visitors

Jun 14,

This week my team from around the world was in town for a face to face meeting. We worked very hard the whole week, but we still found some time to play and bond as a team.

Touristy Sunday

Jun 9,

Today Cheryl, Andrea (who is here for the week from Poland) and I did some touristy things around town. We had lunch at Lincoln Tavern, did the Freedom Trail - which none of us had done before - and went the Wonder museum. The weather was rainy at the start of the tour, but luckily the rain stopped and the sun even came out.

Game night!

Jun 8,

Tonight we had a few of my coworkers come over for game night. We had lovely weather, and we had the patio ready in case people wanted to hang out outside, but we ended up staying inside. We ate pizza and salad, and played a trivia game I bought on Amazon. Bella invited her friend Isa to come over, and they hung out with us as well. It was so nice for her to have a friend with her.

The week

Jun 7,

This week I was in Cincinnati for a really intense series of meetings. Add the group dinners, and there was very little time to see family and friends. But I did manage to see my parents a couple of times, and my friend Jessica. And the weather was lovely, making it easier to get out of bed every morning. I even managed to sneak in 3 morning workouts.

Narragansett

Jun 2,

Today we went to visit our neighbors to their summer home in Narragansett, Rhode Island. It is only about 1 hr and 15 minutes from Newton, but with a completely different and chill vibe. It is a cute beach town, with a more local than touristy feel to it, and we enjoyed the views and spending the day with them. Sofia was invited but she didn’t want to come and opted for spending the day at home. She missed out but maybe she will be ok coming next time.

Lots of movement

Jun 1,

Lots of movement today for the first day of Jun. First I walked Kika, then I ran 7.5 miles, then I walked her again in the afternoon, Bella/Lionel/Me played pickle ball in the neighbors driveway in the evening (while Sofia was at work at Playa Bowls) and then Lionel and I walked Kika after dinner. We also had lunch with Monique and Philippe at a place in Wellesley that was new to us, and I finally was able to catch up on the blog.
