Today I took Bella driving for a few minutes before her lacrosse game. That got me thinking that Sofia has been driving for a while now, and I went digging for the photo of when she got her temps. I remember that day. It was March of 2021, so it has already been close to 4 years. They also look so much alike. Different, and at the same time identical in a way.

Today is a bittersweet day. It is my mom’s birthday, and also the day our sweet boy Rusty passed away 13 years ago. At least Zoey is now keeping him company, and together they will be waiting for us when the time comes.

Today we woke up to a decent amount of snow. Lionel was able to borrow the neighbor’s snow blower, so cleaning was not too bad. Luckily it was a holiday and we had nowhere to be. Unluckily, we had a massive issue at work and I ended up working both Sunday and Monday. So it wasn’t much of a restful weekend at all.

Bella has started to learn how to drive. Lionel has taken her a couple of times, and today I took her after her afternoon lacrosse game. We mostly stayed in the parking of the Weston High School, but at the end also drove in a couple of quiet side streets. Little by little she will get there.

We just received our 2024 blog book. Unfortunately the company I had been using to print our books from the beginning went out of business, so I had to find a new one. It is not the same, and I was not able to get an electronic version of it, but I was glad to still be able to add it to the collection.

This week I was in Cincinnati for work and it was really cold. I took my biggest winter coat so was mostly ok, but it was definitely not pleasant when we had to be outside. Boston is supposed to be colder than Cincinnati, but this past week it was definitely the other way around.
On the very last day I stopped by Coffee Emporium real quick to get some goodies for the family. I cut it close, but I made it right on time to my gate.

Today we woke up to snow on the ground and still falling. It wasn’t a ton, like they got in Cincinnati, but it was enough to cover alll the sidewalks, to wear my snow shoes, and to let Kika play in the backyard. She loves playing in the snow. It is one of the joys in her life.
