Today was Bella's last lacrosse game with Worcester Academy. She kind of wanted to skip the photo, since she didn't love the school or the lacrosse team all that much, but tradition is tradition. The photos are a reminder that, regardless of how others were or behaved, we did show up for each other.

Today Bella, Lionel, Cheryl, and I went to Cider Hill Farm. The goal was to pick our own tulips. In terms of the tulips themselves there were slim pickings, as it was the last weekend, but it was a nice day. And we also got some cider and some good jam. All in all a great mother's day. I just of course wish that Sofifi could have been there as well.

Today I finished this book. It is a sad story, but with some funny parts. And well written as well. I definitely enjoyed Demon Copperhead.

Today Bella had a lacrosse game in Connecticut. It was cold and windy, but if she had to be there we were going to be right there with her.

Tonight I intended to work out, so after dinner I changed into my workout clothes. But Bella asked if I wanted to go to Truly's, the ice cream place, and of course I wanted to spend time with my girl. So off we went.

This weekend I was in Cincinnati. I originally planned it hoping I could run the Flying Pig Relay, but everyone I would have run with was injured, or out of town, or simply couldn't go. But since I had also scheduled my regular doctor check ups around that weekend, I still went. I stayed with my friend Carissa, spent plenty of time with my parents, and also saw my friend Jess.

Today's lacrosse game was at Bella's school. It is a long drive, and the game was not at the most convenient time, but we are always happy to show up for her.

Today it finally felt like spring. I took a short walk by the office during the day, and after work we went to see Bella's lacrosse game at the Newton Country Day school. It was a beautiful day, and a beautiful school, and I enjoyed sitting in the stands with the sun hitting my back.

Today I finished this audiobook. A sad story, but also really well written just like the Nightingale.

This year I did not volunteer, but I did work from home and took a break during the day to go watch the Boston Marathon about 1 mile from my house. I got to see the elite men, the elite women, and the rest of the runners that - while not elite - are still a heck of a lot faster than I ever was. It was also a lovely sunny day and I got to take a cool photo of Des Linden, one of the US marathoners, who happened to be running her very last professional race.

Today, during easter Sunday, we discovered that Bella has some really bad food allergies. We learned about it the hard way, but luckily she is safe. And now we know and will be very careful ahead.
