When Sofia makes an effort, she has a pretty decent handwriting. She brought this one home from school.

Bella's drawings

Bella is getting better at drawing. She is still just 4 years old and has a long way to go, but she is now starting to draw faces, people, and write letters that can easily be recognized as such.

Sofia's contract

Sofia is really messy with her clothes. I am constantly finding it here and there, hangers on the ground, a sock out of place... So I finally got sick of nagging her about it, and took a stand.

10:00am

Today I stayed in bed until 10:00 am, which is basically unheard of for me.  I didn't sleep until then, I probably woke up before 9:00 am, but the girls were playing, Lionel was talking to his parents, and the dog was taken care of. So nobody seemed to be waiting for me to take care of anything. For the first few minutes I just stayed in bed not doing anything, wondering for how long would that quiet time last. But I eventually turned on my iPad and started checking Facebook, and random stuff just to waste time. Not something I get to do every time, so if was nice for a change.

Eventally I did get up and we spent the day cleaning the girl's playroom, which needless to say is always a mess. We took out a lot of toys, packaged them nicely, and then the lady that comes clean our house twice a month came to pick them up. I know some of them she will be able to use herself for her grand-daughter, and for the rest she will help find them a good new home.

Treadmill

After 8 long years, this weekend I am saying good bye to my old treadmill. I bought it when I was pregnant with Sofia to be able to walk at home, not expecting that 7 years later it would still be working just fine, and that instead of walking I would actually be using it to run.

Although it has lasted way more than I would have ever expected, it is simply time to upgrade. I am buying a friend's treadmill since she has barely used it, and hers is more built for running than mine ever was.

As for mine, I found it a good new home. I am giving it to a co-worker who I really like and I know will use it for sure.

Vacation - Day 1

Today was a good day. I got up late, I only worked for about an hour to finish something, ran some errands, had lunch at a cafe I had wanted to try for a while, and did some serious Christmas shopping. But the best part of my day - by a mile - was seeing Sofia's smiley face right next to me the entire time.
