Day at the park

This past Monday we went to Smale Park with the girls. It was cloudy, and it looked like it was going to rain, but the weather held. We had lunch at Yard House first, and then walked around the park for a couple of hours enjoying the playground, the new water feature, and particularly (at least for me) the swings.

Dance show

Bella has a new favorite Taylor Swift song and tonight, with Sofia's help, she put on a super cute dance show. I don't know if Bella chose the outfit herself, but I know for a fact that Sofia did her hair and helped with the choreography. It really put a smile on my face.

Day trip!

Today we went on a day trip. We went to visit Miami University, Lionel's Alma mater, and to Hueston woods - both about an hour away from home. It was a good day just the four of us hanging out. No house chores. No work. No school just yet.

Woodland Mound

This morning Bella went to Woodland Mound for a birthday party and I loved taking her there. That is such a fun place!

Goddard Picnic

This evening we went to the end of summer Goddard Picnic, and I really had a great time. We were together, the girls were happy, and the weather couldn't have been better. For the first time the whole week I actually felt relaxed. I really did not want to leave!

Abuelita time

Today the girls spent the day with my mom at my parent's house. I was happy that they got to spend time together, and I knew they would have a great time.

Good bye Isabel

Tonight Isabel came to say good bye because in two days she is heading back to college. It was nice to see her, but it was also sad saying good bye. She was such an important part of the girls' summer, and it meant the world to me that besides my crazy schedule the girls had a great summer and a fun routine because of her.
