The Thursday after we came back from the Dominican Republic I had to go to New York for work, and Lionel tagged along while his parents stayed with the girls. The girls were not thrilled, because they hadn't seen Lionel in two weeks and because Sofia was not feeling well. So leaving them behind like that, sad and whiny, was the worst way to start the trip. Fortunately the girls eventually cheered up, and had a good time with Monique and Philippe. And that allowed Lionel and me to actually enjoy the weekend.
