Having your tribe is important, and to me that includes having my work tribe as well. So I like going out for lunch with different groups, and every 6 weeks or so I organize a ladies lunch.

Snowy Sunday

Today was a snowy day, and we spent it mostly indoors - except for when I went to buy food for the week and Lionel and I walked Zoey for a few minutes. Chef Bella made pancakes for brunch, but unfortunately she used the wrong amount of baking soda and we had to throw them away. She was bummed, but hopefully will pay more attention next time.
While Sofia did her homework, and Lionel worked on our summer trip, Bella and I also planted our seeds for our summer vegetable garden. It will be a few weeks before we can plant them outside, but it will also be a few weeks before they are ready for that.

Back to health

After a rough couple of weeks health wise, I am so happy to see my sweet Sofifi back to the routine. She is not 100% back to normal, but she is getting there.

More park time

Since we couldn't spend much time at the park earlier this week, Bella wanted to go back today. We went to Beech Acres, where we spent a good amount of time when they were little. It was cold but manageable, and I was happy to take her and spend time with her. I could tell she really wanted to go, especially since she thanked me for taking her a few different times. I can't wait for the weather to get better, so we can spend more time outside.

This morning we both went running with the group. Today's goal was 8 miles. We were tired, but pushed through and finished the run. When we came back home I also took Zoey for a 30 minute walk, and we both did our workout challenge of the day. We then took it easy the rest of the morning, and took a nap later in the later to recover and get some energy for the remainder of the day.

Quick stop by the park

Every day, Bella and I drive by a beautiful park on the way to and from school. This evening, on our way back home, Bella asked if we could stop by for a few minutes. So we did. It was cold, and it was about to get dark, so it was a quick visit.

This afternoon Bella had a dentist appointment. Sofia had one too, but we had to cancel since she was sick. The dentist's office is right across the street from our former daycare, so Bella and I decided to stop by to relive those good old days. Most of the old teachers are gone, and it was late in the day, so we didn't really see people we know. But we had fun looking at the old pictures framed and hung in the hallway. We found the girls, and Diego and Adrian, in a few of them.
