Mar 29,
For Spring Break we went to Spain with two other families, as Bella and her besties were wanting to do a trip together for a while. And given Bella’s two lonely years in Boston, we decided to lean in and do it.
Initially they talked about going to Florida, but that wasn’t working out for whatever reason and someone brought up Spain. That was fine by me as I would get to see my Sofia for a couple of days. And Bella would get to see where Sofia lives and visit Barcelona again after about a decade. The last time we were there was during our sabbatical, in 2014.
As usual, I just packed and went. Lionel did all the planning with the other 2 moms. They did a good job and we had a great time. We spent some time in Barcelona, we went to Marbella for a couple of days, and even did a day trip to Morocco - the first time in Africa for me, Lionel, and Bella. It was a long day, but I am glad we went. We also got to see Thierry one night for dinner, as he happened to be in Barcelona for work.
In Morocco we got to drive around Tangier, ride camels, and check out the point where the Atlantic ocean and the Mediterranean sea meet.
When we came back from Marbella we spent one last night in Barcelona. We got to spend a bit of time with Sofia and have dinner with her, before heading back home the next day.
