First driving lesson

Dec 8,

Since Bella is now 16, she can start her actual driving lessons. Today she and Lionel went out for her very first time behind the wheel. It was only about 1 hour, but you have to start somewhere.

Letter to Santa

Dec 8,

Kika sent her letter to Santa this morning during our walk. I think all she wants is more cuddles, more play time, and more food.

Almost there!

Dec 7,

This is my last year with a goal of 500 running miles per year. It is hard work, and I am almost there.

Geneva and Annecy

Dec 6,

This week I pushed through for my last business trip of the year. I got a cold half way through, which was definitely not ideal, but somehow managed to hang in there until the end. It was a productive week, with good camaraderie overall, but I was happy to get back home and rest.

Time for Christmas!

Dec 1,

Today we put the Christmas decorations up, before I left on my business trip. There are a few ornaments that I am sure Sofia will request for her own place in the future, but for now they are still with us.

The drive back

Nov 30,

Today we drove back to Boston. Sofia flew directly from Baltimore to Denver, so it was just the 3 of us. I was bummed to no longer have her with us, but at least Bella had more room in the back to take a nap, especially since we were in Lionel's  car.

Thanksgiving and Lionel’s Birthday

Nov 29,

While it was a quick turnaround, we had a great time in Baltimore with the Eshwars. It had been such a long time since we went there, and it was nice to see the house and be together again. We didn't do anything exotic and just hung out, went out to eat, and caught up. But I particularly needed the break and was content with just taking it easy. We also got to celebrate Lionel's birthday together, even though the cake was a total fail and it was so chocolate-y and dense that we just couldn't eat it.
