This morning we did our weekly run in cold, cold weather. It was cold and the start, but I warmed up pretty quickly. In fact, I felt pretty strong. We were supposed to run 7, but I pushed for 8. And ended up with a 9:30 average pace, which for me is pretty good. I was definitely happy I got up and went.

Tonight was Sofia's Science fair at school. She went because she had to, as she had to present her project and it was part of her school activities and grade, but actually also ended up getting a pretty good score and got to go on stage - totally (not) her favorite. You can see her in her face.

Tonight Bella and I went to Family Reading Night at her school. They had an activity table where you could make your own bookmark, and a 2-actor play that was a mix of Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland. I thought she might get bored with the play, since she doesn't stay still for long, but she actually paid attention the entire time.

Today the girls' schools were closed again, so they took it easy in the morning. Since they had time, Bella also made herself - and shared with Sofia - a yummy breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and fruit. She is our little chef.

Tonight we went to a super bowl party at a house that has a pig as a pet. The daughters are allergic to dogs, and as it turns out, a pig is a viable option for people with allergies. He was supposed to be a small breed, but it did not quite turn out like that. When we got there he was walking around, but then he got tired and went to take a nap.

After a crazy cold week, today the temperature went up all the way to 62 degrees! In the morning Sofia and I went to the gym for a 3 mile run, I then ran another mile outdoors with the dog, and then Bella and I went to the bookstore and Whole Foods. When we went out we took our jackets with us, but quickly - and happily - realized that we could leave them in the car. While we were gone Lionel and Sofia took Zoey for a long walk. It is so nice that everybody was outside.

This morning was cold, but just seasonably - not polar vertex type. So Lionel and I went running with the group and logged 6 miles.
