Ice cream

A quick ice cream run in pandemic times. Trying to support the local shops so they are still there when - eventually - this is over.

Tonight Bella wanted to go to the pool, so we did. It was a quick visit - just the two of us, but she was happy and that is what counts.

Conchas

Sweet Bella made conchas today while I was working. It was her very first time making them, but they were super good. I very much enjoyed my snack.

Pelota grandota

We are kind of bad at playing volleyball, so when Bella and I saw a big inflatable ball at a store we jumped at the chance. We are now slightly better.

Taking a break

Tonight, when I was working after dinner, Bella came in with a tray holding 2 mug chocolate cakes she had made. She looked me straight in the eye and asked if I could take a break to eat dessert with her. My heart sank, and of course I said yes and dropped everything else. We went up to my room and had a picnic together for a first time in a while.

Tennis with Sofia

And this is how Sofia and I started the day. We went at 9:00 am, but it was already getting really hot. Right now it is already up to 93, but my phone says it feels like 97. If the weather forecasters are right, it is also going to stay this steamy for several more days.

4th of Jul

This was a chill 4th of July for us. In the evening we went to the pool for about and hour and a half. It was super empty, which was a good thing. It made it easy to stay away from everyone else.
