I love reading, but for many years I have read very little as my job is very busy, and life gets in the way. And when I have a bit of downtime, I have to get some movement in. Whether it is walking or running, I know that I need movement to keep my mental health. Audiobooks have been around for a long time, but it has always felt like cheating, like not good enough, and certainly not the same as sitting down with an actual book. However, this year I finally decided that an audiobook is better than nothing, as I can at least listen to the story when I am running, when I am walking with Kika, or when I am driving to and from work. I am on my 4th or 5th book, and I just finished a really great one. It is not a happy story at all, but it is beautifully written.
