This is a blog about my random thoughts, my life as a wife and working mother, my happiness, my occasional sadness, and everything in between.

Bella's France Drawing
Bella made this drawing at school earlier this week. It says, in her 6 year old spelling: "I went to the Eiffel Tower last summer. I went to Paris and I had fun my family. We got ice cream".
Picture day at Sands
This week was picture day at Sands. Those pictures are always or miss, but it's not for the lack of trying. Bella chose a summer dress because she likes it, even though at this point we no longer have those hot days that make a dress like that more appropriate. And Sofia decided for a more sporty outfit - not surprising - that at least included a very important truth: Girls rule!
Level 2!
Bella has officially made it to level 2 in gymnastics! Since they are both now in the same level the people who manage the schedule asked me if I wanted to have them in the exact same class, but I figured they might drive each other crazy. Their classes will still be at the same time, but each will have their own space which I think works better.

New Phone
Afters months of walking around with a beat up phone, this weekend I finally got a new one. Getting a new phone is always a chore in my opinion, but it was about time.
Women are Strong
Last night, as I was cleaning all the papers on the kitchen's desk, I found this drawing by Sofia. It says "I am a woman and I am strong". It warms my heart.
Sea Wolves Swim Meet
Yesterday was Sofia's first swim meet with the Sea Wolves. The meet was about 5 hours long, but she did well. Initially she was upset because she thought she would be too tired to do everything I had signed her up for, but she did just fine. She won 3rd place in one of her races, but she was very close to finishing second. And she actually won another one. Granted, it was only another girl and her, but she beat her! That should help her confidence - or at least I hope so.
Grandparents day at Sands
Oct 4
This past Friday was Grandparents and Special Friends day at Sands. Usually only my mom goes, so I was pleasantly surprised that my dad went as well. They got to visit Bella and Diego's classroom, and see the work they do. After the event Bella asked me to take her home with me, and her teacher said it was Ok. So we walked back together to Nathalie's house - where we had parked - and went to Panera to have lunch. It was a bit of mami-Bella time.
