This afternoon I made a point to leave work before it got dark so I could take my Bella sledding, even if only for a little while. We went at 6, and luckily she still had a good 45 minutes before it started to get really dark. It was freezing cold, but she did not mind and I had my red jacket on - the "sleeping bag one" that really keeps me warm.

This afternoon Bella went sledding with some friends who live nearby. I wish I was able to taker her myself, but I could not. She had fun though, and their mom and sent me this picture.

This morning we woke up to a whole lot of snow. I woke up at 4:00 am to take Kika out, and got to see everything before the snow plows, and before there were any people walking anywhere. There was also a lot of natural light. It just didn't look like it was the middle of the night. It was a beautiful and peaceful sight.
After taking her out she settled back down in her crate, but at 6:30 am we headed out for our morning walk - which was quite the adventure with how deep the snow was. Since Kika is so short, her chest was basically right against the snow and came back home with chunks of ice attached to her all over the place. I was able to take of them off right away, but for others I had to use the hair dryer to melt them. She did not love that part, but she was trapped in the bathroom with me and could not run away.

Today my sweet Bella got braces. She was a bit nervous about it, so she asked Sofia if she would let her wear her Vail sweatshirt. It is so weird to see her with braces because they make her look like a total teenager. And she is the baby of the family. Can time just slow down please?

Another week flew by, but we have nothing new to report except that Kika is growing by the minute. We worked, we walked the dogs, we ate, we half slept.
