Today was Sofia's first day of 7th grade orientation. I took her to school and we parked to walk in together, but as it turned out parents were not really allowed to go past the main hall. I hadn't noticed, so I was going to keep going, but it was Sofia who told me "hmmm, I think I'm supposed to go in alone". Given that Sofia is not normally super comfortable in new situations, I actually took the fact that she told me as a really good sign. She didn't seem worried or nervous at all. So I kissed her good bye, wished her a good day, and walked away. I later texted her to ask how it was, since it ended at noon and I was still at work, but of course she gave me her typical short answers.
This is a blog about my random thoughts, my life as a wife and working mother, my happiness, my occasional sadness, and everything in between.
