Today we got up early to go to Eze, one of the other cities in the French Riviera. I didn't pay super close attention but it was about a 40 min drive from Nice. By 9:00 am we were in the car leaving the parking garage, and I am glad we did. Given the narrow streets, it must get so incredibly crowded later in the day. We walked around for a bit and checked out the Jardin Exotique, which has lots of cacti and great views. Even though it was early in the day, it was already really hot - especially when not in the shade. We were sweating like crazy.
By about 11:30 am we were already leaving, and were happy to do so as we could tell the crowds were getting worse. When we parked in the morning there were multiple spots, but by the time we left the garage was pretty crowded.
After Eze we stopped by Menton for a little bit. It was hard to find a parking spot and when we finally did we basically only had a quick lunch and took a short walk by the beach. The girls were hot and tired, and were no longer in the best of moods. So after that we drove back to the apartment and spent there the rest of the afternoon hiding from the heat, with everyone doing their own thing.
