After what feels like a lifetime, and was at least a 10+ year hiatus, today I came back to Queretaro. We got up really early, and left the house at 4:45 am for our 7:00 am flight. In Houston we met Gabi and her family, and together we made it to Queretaro like at 2:00pm local time. We took a taxi straight to the hotel, where Bella distributed the special bracelets and "Mexican Crew" key chains she made for all of us. She also gave the boys the special notebooks she made so they can write about their trip.
While Bella and the boys went to the pool with Gabi and Raj, Lionel, Sofia and I went for a walk. Among other places, we walked by a street that had plenty of quinceanera dresses, which of course is Sofia's worst nightmare.
It was nice to walk on those streets after so many years. Some things of course have changed, while others remain the same.
After our walk we had dinner across the street from the hotel , said hi to Gabi's former coworkers - who came to say hi to her - and got back to the room. We haven't slept that great the last couple of nights, so we need some serious rest.
Tomorrow we get to see our old friend Max, and it should be a full fun day.
