This morning I was having a meeting with a new hire and helping her think about how to manage a work situation. At some point I mentioned to her that, although it would be great, we can't always get along great with everyone. Her response to that seemed very spontaneous and sincere, and kind of made my day. She said "I can't imagine someone not getting along with you!". Of course nobody is perfect, but it made me happy to think that she views me as someone who easily gets along with others. I definitely try my best to be nice to people - even when they don't always deserve it.
