Today was Sofia's 6th grade graduation ceremony, and with that her very last day at Sands. To say that time flew by seems like an understatement. I can still remember her preschool graduation, and her very first day in kindergarten, as if it was yesterday. I think part of her was excited to leave behind some of her least favorite 6th grade teachers, and to have a new beginning somewhere else. But she was also definitely sad to leave her friends, and to say good bye to Sands after 7 years.
We still don't know where she is going for 7th grade, whether it will be Walnut Hills or Nagel, but regardless of where she ends up we know it will be a big change. Let's hope we are all emotionally and mentally prepared.
